Crawley Film Initiative is a registered learning provider which offers free training for young learners between the ages of 16 – 25. We also do in-school workshops for those under 16 with our fully credited team. Find out more below.

Traineeships

We offer 6 week traineeships which focus on development, (writing, budgeting & planning) production, (filmmaking & sound op) post-production (editing, colour grading, soundscapes, sound design) & distribution (marketing, PR & streaming). These courses are aimed at up-skilling young people between 16-25, providing new opportunity & discovery, plus developing vital interpersonal skills. These skills will be transferable in multiple workplaces moving forward. If you’re interested in training with us please reach out to our team.

Our traineeship partner

We work in partnership with Prevista Ltd to deliver some of our training, this partnership sees the CFI delivering vital hands on filmmaking training to young learners who come through Prevista and show an interest in learning about film.

Apprenticeships

COMING IN SEPTEMBER 2023


The Crawley Film Initiative will launch apprenticeship training from September 2023. Our training can be delivered on location at the Employers place of work, at our training hub or online with an exclusive CFI learner journal. 


Our apprenticeship training will focus on Social Media Marketing, filmmaking & post-production giving young learners hands on training whilst they’re in employment.

We deliver filmmaking workshops to the community and beyond. Our workshops focus on hands on education and cater for a range of ages. We can deliver these workshops in schools, a mutual venue or at our Cultural Learning Hub based inside Crawley Museum.
